Psychotherapy Counseling Coaching

Psychotherapy is a long term approach to the exploration of past experiences that inform current and recurrent present day problems which result in emotional and mental distress and maladaptive behaviors.

Counseling is a shorter term approach to the exploration of acute issues, both current and recurrent; for example crisis intervention, decision making, grief, life transitions, parenting, and many others.

Coaching is a focused approach to the accomplishment of a specific goal, management of a specific issue or transition, or simply realization of potential both personal and professional. Coaching incorporates the development of action plans, strategies, motivation, and accountability to get unstuck and create forward motion and progress.

Tarot/Oracle

Tarot originated as a card game in the 15th century and were not used for divination/card reading/cartomancy until the mid 18th century. Jungian practitioners began incorporating tarot into their sessions in the early 2oth century as a way to approach the parts of who we are in a less confrontational manner. Tarot cards in counseling and psychotherapy can assist in exploring the unconscious mind's influence on conscious thoughts, choices, and behaviors.

At The Sacred Intuition Studio tarot and oracle cards and readings are used both on their own as a tool for divination and, if so desired, as a psychotherapy tool for deepening our understanding of the parts of ourselves.

Stone Casting

Lithomancy, or divination by stone reading, dates back to the Bronze Age of 3300-1200 BC. It is believed the stones were first used to predict political outcomes in order to create and maintain regional independence from external forces. Since then lithomancy as evolved into a divination practice much like reading a daily horoscope, cartomancy, and "fortune telling."

At The Sacred Intuition Studio lithomancy is used for divination to explore possibilities from many different angles incorporating intuition, knowledge, and self reflection.

Sound Healing

Sound healing is a process by which our bodies and minds can be influenced by the therapeutic vibration created when a practitioner plays crystal bowls, brass bowls, chimes, or gongs. This therapeutic vibration directly effects the body's own vibration and brainwaves inducing a deep state of relaxation. There is growing scientific evidence that that sound healing can reduce stress, reduce anxiety, stabilize emotions, increase focus, and improve sleep. In short, sound healing has been shown to improve overall mental, emotional, and physiological wellbeing.

The Sacred Intuition Studio offers sound healing in studio for individuals and small groups as well as, if so desired, incorporating it into psychotherapy, counseling, and coaching sessions. Off site sessions for small and large groups are also offered.
